4G Ram Projector Light Builder 4G Ram Projector Light Builder RetroShopLLC Looking for a custom set of '13+ Ram lights? All the options are here! From mild to wild, this is the tool to build it from!   The one stop shop for custom Ram lights! This light building tool features each of our options for the 2013+ Ram projector lights. Continue reading to see details on each option, and as always - if there are any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. Please note, this tool is exclusively for the 2013+ projector style headlights. The base cost of the lights includes the labor for us to open your headlights, remove the original sealant, reseal with retro rubber, and ship the lights back to you in continental US (shipping is available to anywhere in the world, if your country isn't listed during checkout, please contact us for a shipping quote). From here, each option is listed, so you can fine tune the lights to your needs. Headlights: In this section you can select to send in your headlights, or we can start with a set of replica replacement lights. If you are sending in your lights, please note that we are in St Louis, MO - shipping of your lights to our shop is on the customer, as is proper packing and insuring the lights. We stock replica replacement lights as well, for those that are not sending in headlights for us to use. These lights look and perform just like the stock units, but do not have the "RAM" lettering on the lens, or the Ram logo on the shrouds. Please note, the black replica lights are based on the '13-14 lights, where the projector shroud is chrome (not fully black like the 2015+ OEM models). Examples of the lights used for the builds: PNP Adapter: Using our exclusive plug n play adapter, these 2013+ lights can be fitted to any 4th Gen Ram that did not come with the projector style lights from the factory. The adapter will come with 1 set compatible with your truck. Simply plug in the adapter, all set! Paint: Here, we can paint the lights to fit the style you are after. At RetroShop, we have a full time painter on staff, Dave (our painter) has over 20 years experience in the automotive paint industry and has painted over 1,000 sets of lights for us. We only use automotive grade paint / clear, just like what is used on the vehicle from the factory. We do NOT use spray cans, rattle bombs, etc. We do not use "VHT" or any other inferior products on our builds. Each part is media blasted for proper paint adhesion, primered, base coat / cleared, and buffed. We have many options on paint, and can get them exactly how you'd like yours. Please note, for ANY paint job, we will not paint the inner part of the shrouds. This inner part, when painted, will melt! This is seen on the 2015+ OEM lights as well - its not a paint issue, its simply due to the magnifying glass effect that the projector has on the shrouds. The light doesn't reflect off of a non chrome surface, and the shroud then will melt. Some pictures below show the entire shrouds painted, this was done before we where aware of this issue. If you just can't have this small amount of chrome left on the lights, you can tell us to paint it - but we will not warranty these, as we know what the outcome will be. Blackout - we start with your Sport (black) lights, or our replica black lights and we complete the blackout theme. We paint the shrouds gloss black and tint the amber and lower LED cover in a candy black. Blackout example: OEM paint matching - for your single color needs, we paint the inner bezel to match your truck. If you want the side amber painted, lower LED cover, etc - we can do that as well, just make a note of this in the notes section. Few examples: Dual Color paint: On these builds, we combine any 2 colors that you are after, for a fully custom set of lights! As there are many many different ways to do these, please make sure you put in the notes what parts you want painted in each color. If you have a specific build you are wanting to duplicate, please email us pics! A few examples: Clear corner: We have the option to remove the amber reflector and install a clear replacement. Example: Halos / LEDs, Turn signal: We can replace the amber turn signal with one of two amazing products from Diode Dynamics. We have the white / amber switcbacks, or RGBWA switchbacks. White / amber - the parking lights are white, turn signals are amber. DRLs (if your truck is equipped) are also white. A quick YouTube video of them in action: Here is another video explaining the differences in the switchback or sequential options: And the mighty RGBWA option, which gives you the option to change the color of your parking lights to any color, while providing a white option for normal (driving) use. When the turn signals are activated, they flash amber. A video of these, also showing the RGB halos and strips (more info on those below): Halos / LEDs, halos: Here we have 2 options to further your customization. The Diode Dynamics Ram Halo / C Bars (switchback) option will give you white halos with amber turn signals (these are wired internally, no additional wiring is needed). The video below shows the halos / c bars in conjunction with the turn signal replacement boards: The RGB Halos / strips will give you the color changing ability (see video above with the RGBWA lower replacement boards for more information). These halos will come with a RF remote control to set the colors (7 standard, and the ability to dial in a color and set it as a preset). These halos will require a 12v power source, though most will splice to the parking lights on the truck (just remember, some colors may not be legal for on road use). Halos / LEDs, demon eyes: Demon eyes will give you that evil look for the shows! This product is only used when the headlights are off, and will make the projector "glow" in that color. Here is a video explaining their function: HID Upgrades: In this section you can upgrade the light output from the stock halogens. We have 2 options, a drop in kit (which consists of a set of bulbs, ballasts and wiring (of your choice) for the stock projectors), or the mighty FX-R projector retrofit, which will give you the ultimate in light output - without blinding oncoming drivers. Below are 2 pictures, both with the same 35W ballasts and 5K bulbs. Drop in kit, much better than stock halogens! Cutoff is a little fuzzy, but still focused light. This will give you approx 2-3x more light than the standard halogen bulbs. FX-R output, sharp cutoff, more intense light with a wider beam. Want to see them in action? Check this video out! HID Harness Type: Depending on the year of your Ram, there are a few options for how we power the HIDs. If the truck is a 09-14, you can use the Canbus adapter, or the Mopar Spec Relay'd harness. Each operates the same! Your choice on if you want a full pnp option, vs a relay harness for your lights. How does the wiring look? See below (keep in mind, all show with the dust caps removed for picture purposes, the dust caps will be installed when the lights are sent out). Canbus adapter: For the 2015 or newer Rams, the only option is the 15+ Mopar Spec relay harness. This harness includes the "right stuff" for these Rams, as the 15+ is the most picky! Please note, it doesn't matter if you are getting a drop in kit or the FX-R retrofit, the same harness is used for either.  Whew, lots to take in! Each set is built to YOUR specifications and needs! Please, again - if you have ANY questions whatsoever for your build, don't hesitate to reach out for assistance! Our contact info is found at the top of the page under the "Contact us" section.
